I drew this pair of poppies in soft pastel while my darling children where busy occupied doing gymnastics. I was pretty desperate to find time for my passion.

Snow Babies

This is a soft pastel drawing that I did when Victoria was a baby and I was also watching our dear little Chloe. I took them on a walk when there was snow on the ground and they fell asleep together in the stroller. Their beautiful little soft cheeks were pink, lashes swept down on them. I like the softness of the pastels to convey the softness of their new baby skin. I apologize for the reflection.

Patty's Thank You

Patty was the one I relied on to take care of Victoria when she was a baby so I could keep appointments on all my Dr. visits for the Grant expectation! I was going through a lot of angst with my Mom being very ill, Brad's cancer newly discovered and painting was a great help. I didn't accomplish any other paintings during that time but was happy to give this one to my dearest friend and helper. I love the blend of feelings I have when I see this painting.
